Mazagon Dock to Review Q4 Earnings & Dividend on April 30
Investors Focus on Order Book Expansion and Submarine Deal Progress; "Hold" Rating Reflects High Valuations

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), India’s premier defense shipbuilder, has officially scheduled its board meeting for Thursday, April 30, 2026. According to an exchange filing, the board will meet to consider and approve the audited financial results for the quarter and financial year ended March 31, 2026. Additionally, the board is expected to recommend a final dividend for FY26, following two interim dividends already paid out during the fiscal year.
The stock has recently faced pressure, retreating from its 52-week highs, as analysts weigh its stellar long-term performance against "expensive" current valuations and the broader cooling of the defense sector rally.
Q4 FY26: What the Street is Watching
Following a robust Q3 performance (PAT of ₹880 Cr, up 9% YoY), all eyes are on whether MDL can maintain its momentum into the fiscal year-end.
1. Revenue Trajectory and Order Book
Execution Pace: Analysts are looking for continued revenue acceleration as major projects, such as the Project-15B destroyers and Project-17A frigates, move into advanced stages of delivery.
Order Pipeline: The market is hungry for updates on the massive $8 billion Project-75I submarine deal with Germany. Defense Minister Boris Pistorius’s recent hint at a three-month timeline for signing has made the management's commentary on this project the most anticipated part of the earnings call.
2. Profitability and Margin Management
EBITDA Sustenance: While revenue has grown, the market is tracking EBITDA margins closely. Rising input costs and a "deceleration" in profit growth in some recent quarters have led firms like MarketsMojo to downgrade the stock to a "Hold."
Other Income: A significant portion of MDL's profit often comes from interest income on its massive cash reserves (approx. ₹16,000 Cr). Investors will check if this "cash cushion" continues to bolster the bottom line.
